All proceeds are to benefit T.H.A.N.K.S. Inc. (Tailgaters Helping Aid Needy Kids Spirits). The T.H.A.N.K.S. Corporation is a non-profit organization founded by the Tailgaters Softball Team in Ida MI. Our organization is dedicated to helping families with children who have a potentially life-threatening illness. We provide help with medical expenses, travel, and everyday expenses that seem to fall behind while attending to the child’s illness.

We are in the process of choosing our sponsor child for this year. We have a number of very deserving families all needing help, which makes the job of choosing only one as our “sponsor” child very difficult. However, because there is such a large need from families right here in Monroe County needing our help, it is more important than ever that we make this a successful event.

This tournament is dedicated in memory of Jamie Davis, a three-year-old little girl who lost her battle with cancer 11-years ago. It is because of her brave battle with cancer, that we created our organization in hopes of helping others battling such terrible illnesses.

Because of the nature of this fund-raiser we are going to a one-pitch tournament so that we may be able to accommodate more teams. We will have heated tents by the fields, so players and fans can warm up. We will also have a large pavilion (also heated) where concession stands, live music, and raffles will take place.

Even if you don’t play softball, and want to support the cause, please come out and join us!! The pavilion will be warm and cozy, the food good and hot, and some of the finest local bands you’ll ever here guaranteed to chase the winter blues away!!!
