Snowball Softball Rules
Team Responsibilities:
• All Players must sign a waiver and have their hand stamped prior to 1st game.
• All players must be ready to play 15-minutes before their scheduled game.
• No grace time allowed between games. (1st game of the day will be only exception)
• Alcoholic beverages may not be brought into the park. Violation of this policy will result in player/players/or team being banished from tournament.
• Fighting will not be tolerated!!! Any team members involved in a fight in the park, parking lot, beer tent or surrounding area will be arrested and prosecuted.
• All teams/players are asked to be respectful of our neighbors. No loud music, profanity or littering.
Tournament Rules:
• All games will be played in winter conditions. Snow, Ice, mud, puddles of water etc are all possible conditions. Please dress accordingly.
• This tournament is a (1)-pitch matt-ball tournament. Hitters begin with a 3-2 count (none to waste).
• Pitches must be a minimum of 6-ft with "Unlimited-Arc" allowed.
• Unapproved bats will not be allowed per current ASA listing. A copy of this list will be available where you sign in at.
• No steel spikes allowed.
• Games will be 5-innings each with a 45-minute maximum time limit.
• Home team keeps score.
• Teams may pick up a 9th player only to avoid a forfeit. Cannot pick up a 10th player.
• 12-run mercy rule after 4-innings.
• Home Run Rule: (5)-over the fence limit per game. Additional balls over the fence will be a automatic out and runners cannot advance.
• In case of extra innings, the last out will begin the inning on 3rd base.
• Designated runners can only be used if a player is injured. Managers must let the opposing team know if they need to use one prior to the game beginning.
• We do not guarantee a licensed umpire will be available to officiate your game. Please remember all umpires are volunteering their time.
• Any player thrown out of a game will be ineligible the remainder of the tournament.
• All umpire decisions are final! No protests of any kind are permitted.
• The winner of the "Winner's Bracket" will be the home team in the first game of the championship game. A coin toss will decide the home team if a second game is needed.
• This tournament will not be rescheduled for any reason. In the unfortunate event that we must cancel the tournament due to unsafe playing conditions a team corn hole tournament will be played to determine the winners. NO REFUNDS - NO EXCEPTIONS!
Co-Ed Division:
• This is not a "true" co-ed tournament.
• To compete in the co-ed division, a team must have a minimum of (4)-women.
• If only playing with (4)-women, they must play in the field. They cannot be used as a extra-hitter.
• If playing with only (4)-women, the extra-hitter cannot be used.
• Batting order must alternate between male and female players.
• Men batting back to back must be at the bottom of the lineup.
• If a male player walks, the women has the option of walking or hitting.
• There is no maximum number of women allowed on a team.
• Only a 12" ball will be used.
• Home Run Rule: (3)-over the fence limit per game. Anything over 3-will be a out and runners will not advance.
Tournament draw will take place at RPM's Bar & Grill on Lewis Ave. Thursday February 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Please have a representative present from your team.
This tournament is for fun and to raise money for a good cause. We ask that everyone has a good time and is respectful to the surrounding neighbors.
